Hello & Farewell Series // Peaceful Horizon - vertical landscape painting
A passing glimpse of a simple field, surrounded by trees as we drove through the Tennessee countryside. That’s how this piece started. I pulled out my phone and took a few pictures because the clouds and the sun and the land just seemed to be so perfectly aligned for a moment of pure calm, beauty, and joy. I loved this spot so much, I ended up with three paintings inspired by it and the magic of stumbling upon a scene that perfectly captures the feeling of a place. These landscapes embody all I love about Tennessee with its endless greenery and boundless cloud-filled skies.
